At Kitchen Sense we also deal
with a worktop company called Bald. This company build worktops and flush mount
sinks to the worktops. With this technique the end result is a brilliant surface
for washing on with completely water-resistant tops. Bald mount sinks into the
worktops like this:
As you can see the sink is completely sealed from the worktop cut out, and creates
the safest, watertight wooden surface available for flush fit sink-mounting systems.
Bald worktops come in many different shapes and colours. This picture shows how
a Bald worktop can have damned edges so that there is no water spillage off the
edge of the worktop.
